Electrochemical techniques for studying metal corrosion on heritage objects

The “Current Topics in Heritage Science” lecture 8 (Ed. 2) on the topic: “Electrochemical techniques for studying metal corrosion on heritage objects“, will be delivered online by Emilio Cano (Senior Scientist at CENIM CSIC, Spain) on May 23rdfrom 3 to 4 pm (CEST).

In this lecture, the fundamentals of the technique and the applications to cultural heritage will be presented, with special focus on the specific technique of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) and its application for non-destructive in-situ studies. Examples of both laboratory and field applications will be presented to illustrate the possibilities offered by these techniques and their complementarity with other characterization methods.

Registration (for free) is mandatory to access the Zoom webinar room: www.iperionhs.eu/lecture-8-2023-24/
